From the Pools of Bethesda, we walk a short distance to the Sheep Gate, now called St. Stephen’s Gate. Just outside this gate is the Kidron Valley, and across from it is the Mount of Olives. Surely, Jesus and His disciples entered Jerusalem this way.
Then, as we walk past Antonia Fortress, we find what used to be a door into the room where Pilate tried Jesus and then had Him scourged and crowned with thorns. We were able to figure this out because Father Ed translated the Latin on this sign us.
