We start the “Good Friday” of our walk in Jesus’ footsteps at the top of the Mount of Olives.
From this mountain-top, Jesus looked at the Temple. Today we see the golden Muslim Dome of the Rock of Mohammed, which was built to the left of where the Jewish Temple used to be.
Jesus looked at the wall of Jerusalem that was ancient even then — the wall that we can still see today.
He looked at the Kidron Valley below the wall, which He would traverse on His final entry into the city after His arrest.
